YITSKHOK KOZEKHOVITSH (b. April 11, 1920)
He was
born in Stashev (Staszów), Poland.
He would later adopt the surname Gilboa.
He studied in religious elementary school and in a Polish public
school. During WWII he lived in Soviet
Russia. After the war, he was in a
refugee camp at Bergen-Belsen and from 1947 in Israel. He published poetry in Unzer shtime (Our voice) in Bergen-Belsen and in his book Di laydn zingn (Suffering sings) (Tel
Aviv, 1950), 78 pp.
