ALEKSANDER KAPLAN


ALEKSANDER KAPLAN (1885-1943?)
            He was a doctor, born in Kobrin.  He settled in Vilna.  He wrote about medical matters in Russian, Polish, and Yiddish.  He also published poetry.  In book form: Higyene un shpayz (Hygiene and food) (Vilna, 1927), 89 pp., published earlier in Folksgezunt (People’s health); Vi azoy zikh oystsuhitn fun mogn un gederim krankhaytn (How to guard oneself from stomach and intestinal diseases) (Vilna, 1934), 18 pp.  He died in the Riga ghetto.
