ELYE KAPLAN (1897-August 20, 1970)
He was
born in Kalushin (Kałuszyn), Poland. He
studied in religious elementary school and yeshiva. He came to the land of Israel in 1920. He published an autobiographical novel
entitled Di gilgulim fun kholets itshe (The
metamorphoses of pioneer Itshe) (Tel Aviv, 1974), 320 pp. He depicts in this book the life of pioneers
in the third aliya. He died
in Rishon Lezion.
