YANKEV
LEV (August 22, 1906-May 24, 1981)
He was born in Plonsk (Płońsk),
Poland. He attended religious elementary
school and later a Polish public school.
In 1929 he made his way to Belgium.
He was an active Bundist. He
spent his last years in Israel. He wrote
articles for: Der veg (The way) in
Mexico City, Unzer shtime (Our voice)
in Paris, Lebns-fragn (Life issues)
and Yidishe tsaytung (Yiddish
newspaper) in Tel Aviv, and Unzer tsayt
(Our times) in New York. He died in Tel
Aviv.
