LEYZER
LEDER (ca. 1892-1957)
He was born in Horodok, Bialystok
district, Russian Poland. In 1919 he
became the secretary of Tseire-Tsiyon (Young Zionists) in Bialystok, and he was
later a member of the general Zionists’ central committee in Poland. He belonged to the group “Al Hamishmar” (On
guard), the “Grinboymists.” He edited
the monthly of the Jewish National Fund in Hebrew and Polish. He wrote articles for Bialystok’s Dos naye leben (The new life) and Undzer lebn (Our life), among other
serials. In the late 1930s he made aliya
to Israel. He died in Tel Aviv.
