BEN-TSIEN
LEVIN
He came from Odessa. He was a well-known wedding entertainer and
Jewish folk teacher in southern Russia and Bessarabia. He published poetry on Zionist themes and
about the pogroms in Russia in Hoyz-fraynd
(House friend) in Warsaw and Fraynd (Friend)
in St. Petersburg (1903-1906), as well as elsewhere. In book form: Ziftsen funem hartsen (Sighs from the heart), eighteen poems by
Levin and twenty-one by Yankev Fastovski (Odessa, 1904), 64 pp.
