LEYB LEV
            He was born in Mezritsh (Międzyrzecz), Poland, where his father was a rabbi.  He was a teacher at the Tarbut school in Międzyrzecz.  He wrote sketches for Ekspres (Express) and Velt-shpigl (World mirror) in Warsaw, and he published stories about old Międzyrzecz in Mezritsher vokhnblat (Międzyrzecz weekly newspaper) and Keneder odler (Canadian eagle).  He was murdered with his family during the Nazi occupation.  His sister, TOYBE (murdered at the same time), published jokes and aphorisms in Moment (Moment) in Warsaw).
