YOYEL
NOVIKOV (1887-January 5, 1986)
He was born in Horki (Gorki),
Byelorussia. He studied in religious
elementary school. He was a carpenter
and was active in the Bund in Kovno, Vilna, and other places. Over the years 1930-1949, he lived in Cape
Town, South Africa. From there he moved
to Israel in 1949. In book form, he
published: Zikhroynes fun a yidishn
arbeter (Memoirs of a Jewish laborer) (Tel Aviv: Kultur-lige, 1967), 171
pp. He died in Raanana, Israel.
