NOYMAN (May 1, 1919-1990)
He was born in Duksht (Dukstos),
Lithuania. He graduated from a Jewish
public school, and later studied in the ORT (Association for the Promotion of
Skilled Trades) school in Vilna. He was
wounded as a soldier in the Red Army and later experienced the war period in
Asiatic Russia. He arrived in Israel in
1948. In book form: Lider fun der fargangenhayt (Songs of the past) (Tel Aviv, 1981),
298 pp.; Yugnt, shverd un ash (Youth,
sword, and ashes), poetry (Tel Aviv, 1984), 150 pp., a photographic album.
