ALBERT BITER
He was a leader of the “East Side Forum” in New York
City. He compiled the booklet, Zing a
lid, fufsig arbeter- un folks-lider (Sing a song, fifty labor and popular
songs) (New York, 1941), 86 pp. He was
the author of the songs, “A freyd in feld” (Joy in the fields) and “A freyd in
biro-bidzhan” (Joy in Birobidzhan), and of the music to a number of songs which
all appeared in this collection.
