MAKS TENEN (MAX TENNEN)

MAKS TENEN (MAX TENNEN) (b. March 3, 1871)

            He was born in Bilkamin (Belyy Kamen), Galicia.  He studied in religious primary school and engaged in a variety of trades.  In 1889 he moved to the United States.  In book form: Tsvey veltn, 18 yor in eyrope, 48 yor in amerike, a bazukh in 12 eyropeyishe hoypt-shtet (Two worlds, eighteen years in Europe, forty-eight years in America, a journey to twelve European capitals) (New York, 1937), 166 pp.
