M. TAN

M. TAN
            He came from a town near Grodno, Russian Poland.  In the 1930s he moved to Warsaw.  He was active in the Jewish Communist circles and trade unions.  He published sketches and reportage pieces from the lives of poor laborers in: Literarishe tribune (Literary tribune) in Lodz; Zibn teg (Seven days) in Vilna; and Velt-iberblik (World survey) and Der front (The front), edited by A. Katsizne, in Warsaw; among others.  In book form: Ranglenishn, dertseylungen un reportazhn (Struggles, stories and reportage) (Vi;lna, 1936), 158 pp.  Since WWII we have had no information concerning him.
