AVROM-MEYER TEYTS

AVROM-MEYER TEYTS (b. 1875)
            He was born in Riga and was a cofounder of the association Tsien (Zion) in 1901.  He began writing articles for Haynt (Today) in Warsaw in 1910, later publishing in such Riga-based Yiddish newspapers as: Letste nayes (Latest news), Dos folk (The people), and Frimorgn (Morning)—including a series entitled “Epizodn fun der yidisher fargangenheyt in rige” (Episodes from the Jewish past in Riga)—and Di shul- un khazonim-velt (The school and cantors’ world) in Warsaw (1938).  After 1940 there has been no information about him available.
