TROK (d. 1944)
He was a mechanical engineer, one of
the builders and teachers at the Vilna Technicum of ORT (Association for the Promotion of Skilled Trades). He was the author of the textbooks: Hekhere matematik (Higher mathematics); Vidershand fun materyaln (Resistance of
materials); Grafishe static (Graphic
statics); and Damf-keslen (Steam
kettles)—all of which appeared between 1927 and 1939 in various editions. Due to financial difficulties, they were
published lithographically. Trok was
confined in the Vilna ghetto. After the liquidation
of the ghetto on September 23, 1943, he was deported to the Stutthof
Concentration Camp where he was killed.
