He was born in Uman, Ukraine. He was a Russian-Yiddish teacher and the
owner of a book business. He was the
author of storybooks laden with morals, among them: Der gefunener bruder, a bild fun dem yudishen elend (The located
brother, a picture of Jewish misery) (Berdichev, 1905), 16 pp.; Glik un trehren, eyne vahre geshikhte
(Joy and tears, a true story) (Berdichev, 1905), 24 pp.
