HYMAN Y. KASTREL (1890-February 25, 1956)
He was a
journalist, one of the founders and a contributor to the daily newspaper Frayhayt (Freedom) in New York. Over the years 1933-1935, he edited the
monthly Funken (Sparks). He was frequently selected by the Communist
Party as a candidate for political office.
He died in New York.
