LEON
BLUM (1902-1969)
He was born in Suvalki, with the
original surname of Slonimski. He
graduated from high school in Marianpol, Lithuania, and from the Faculty of
Medicine in Basel. He survived the
Holocaust, later leaving for the United States, where he practiced medicine in
Woodbourne. In book form: A geshonken lebn (A life given) (Buenos
Aires: Yidishland, 1976), 198 pp., one part of which was written by Miron
Leshes. He died in New York.
