TANKHUM BERNSHTEYN

TANKHUM BERNSHTEYN (1898-October 3, 1969)
            He was born in Lodz.  In 1923 he emigrated to the United States.  He was connected with the Workmen’s Circle schools and director of the Workmen’s Circle Middle School in New York.  He wrote treatises on culture and school-related issues for Kultur un dertsiung (Culture and education) and Fraynd (Friend)—both in New York.  He died in New York.
