SHIMSHN RATNER (b. ca. 1883)
He was
born in Bobruisk. He graduated from
medical school. During WWI he wandered as
far as Tiflis, Georgia, and there worked as a prison doctor. He launched a publishing house “Yidish”
(Yiddish) which brought out his booklet of poems Yidishe kinder (Jewish children) (Tiflis, 1921), 64 pp., one of the
rare Yiddish publications out of the Caucasus region.
