MATINKO
He was born in Bialystok. He worked in a print shop and was secretary
of the local printers’ union. He
published impressions, feature pieces, and jokes in various newspaper and
serials, among them: Byalistoker vort
(Bialystok word), M. Shiva’s weekly Hayntike
tsayt (Contemporary times), P. Kaplan’s Dos
naye leben (The new life), Undzer
lebn (Our life), and M. Visotski’s Byalistoker
shtime (Voice of Bialystok), among others.
He also contributed to the publication: Tsvantsiḳ yor, zamlheft, 1908-1928 fun prof. fareyn fun druker arbeter
in poyln (Twenty years, a collection, 1908-1928, of the trade union of
printer workers in Poland) (Bialystok, 1928), 12 pp. He died during the period of Nazi rule in
Poland.
