YANKEV-MEYER
LERINMAN (1847-September 24, 1929)
He was born in Utyan (Utena), Kovno
district, Lithuania. He was a Zionist
community leader and a speaker in Grodno, Vilna, and Minsk. In 1905 he settled in the land of
Israel. He published articles in: Hamelits (The spectator), Hatsfira (The siren), and Yudishes folks-blatt (Jewish people’s
newspaper), among other serials. In book
form: Vegn di eynigkeyt fun unzer folk
(On the unity of our people) (Vilna, 1900), 32 pp. He died in Yafo.
