He hailed from Novogrudek
(Navaredok), Byelorussia, the son of a rabbi.
In his youth he came to the United States. He lived in Detroit and St. Louis. He published translations from the Talmud and
Midrashim in: Dos idishe likht (The
Jewish light) (1923-1926) in New York, Der
veg-vayzer (The guide) in Boston, and elsewhere. In book form: Di perl fun talmud, moralishe un filozofishe maymorim un shprikhverter
fun talmud (Gems from the Talmud, moral and philosophical essays and sayings
from the Talmud) (St. Louis, 1925), 2 parts, 12 pp. in Yiddish and 12 pp. in
English.
