KHAVE
LEVKOVITSH (b. 1919)
She was born in Skyernyevits (Skierniewice),
near Lodz, Poland, into a working family. She graduated from a public school and went on
to become a laborer. She was a member of
the Lodz committee of the youth Bund, “Tsukunft” (Future). She spent the years of WWII in Russia, and
thereafter, until 1948, she lived in Lodz and from 1948 in the state of
Israel. She published reportage pieces
and short articles in Yugnt-veker
(Youth alarm) in Warsaw (1936). She
contributed to Letste nayes (Latest
news) in Tel Aviv, for which she ran the section “Froy un heym” (Woman and
home). She was married to the writer A.
V. Yasni.
