YITSKHOK (IVAN) RODAK
            In 1926 he came from Riga to Kiev.  He was a research student in the pedagogical section of the Institute for Jewish Culture in Kiev.  He was the author of textbooks.  He wrote on pedagogical matters in Ratnbildung (Soviet education), in the anthology Di lernarbet in shul (The work of teaching in school) (Kiev, 1933), and elsewhere.  He co-edited: Shprakh un literatur (Language and literature) (Kharkov: Central Publ., 1931); Literatur, lernbukh farn 5tn un 6tn lernyor (Literature, textbook for fifth and sixth year of school) (Kharkov-Kiev: State Publ., 1932); Shprakh, lernbukh farn 5tn lernyor (Language, textbook for the fifth school year of school) (Kharkov-Kiev: State Publ., 1932); Shprakh, lernbukh farn 6tn lernyor (Language, textbook for the sixth year of school) (Kharkov-Kiev: State Publ., 1932); Gramatik (Grammar) (Kharkov: State Publ., 1933-1936), 6 vols.  His own work included: Arbet af shprakh (Work on language) (Kiev, n.d.), 182 pp.
