MENDL ROZEN (May 16, 1906-May 27, 1977)
He was
born in Pilov (Puławy), Poland. He
studied religious subjects with his father and secular subjects with a
teacher. At age sixteen he left for
Warsaw, where he worked in carpentry until 1929, when he emigrated to Montreal.
There he published a book entitled Eseyen
fun a hedyet (Essays of a layman) (1976), 216 pp. He died in Montreal.
