She was born in Pruzhane (Pruzhany), Poland.  She was a teacher in Tsisho (Central Jewish School Organization) schools in Bialystok, Vilna, and Warsaw.  She wrote plays and stories, included in her textbook, Mayn bikhl, far ershtn shul yor (My little book, for the first school year) (Vilna, 1925), 48 pp., with illustration by Khayim Hanft.  The book went through thirteen editions, and she consistently improved and enlarged it—the final edition appeared in Vilna in 1939 (128 pp.).  She was also the author of Mayn rekhnbukh, far ershtn lernyor (My math book, for the first school year) (Vilna, 1928), 64 pp., which was used in Tsisho schools.  In the summer of 1939, she returned from Warsaw to Pruzhany, and she was taken from there to her death by the Nazis.
