He came from a town in Poland. By trade he was a cobbler. In Warsaw’s Folks-shtime (Voice of the people) (August 1956), he published in
installments a long story entitled Ester
(Esther), a description of Polish Jewish life in a small town on the eve of
WWII. He lived in Lodz, Poland, where he
worked in a shoemaking workshop.
