VOLF (ZEV) (b. 1882)
He was born in Bakui, Moldova, and
made aliya to Israel in 1950. He received
a traditional Jewish education and became a businessman. Among his books: Refleksn iber idntum un idishkeyt (Reflections of Judaism and
Jewishness) (Bakui, before 1931); Shirim
beivrit heyehudit (Poetry in Hebrew and Yiddish) (Bakui; before 1931). He also published historical stories in
Hebrew under the title Siḥat
aḥim (Brotherly conversation) (Moinesti, 1907), 93
pp., two parts; part three remains in manuscript.
