MARKS KOHEN (b. 1879)
He was woodcutter
and carver, born in Moliev (Mogilev). In
1901 he emigrated to London where he became an anarchist. His works: Di beygel farkoyferin baym dnyepr un andere dertseylungen (The
bagel saleslady by the Dnieper River and other stories) (London, 1950), 98 pp.;
Di ershte pyonern nokh erets yisroel
(The first pioneers to the land of Israel) (London, 1952), 47 pp. Both booklets were memoirs of his familiar environs,
written in fictional form.
