He wrote
for Oktyabr (October) and Shtern (Star) on pedagogical topics,
language issues, and teaching methods for literature in Jewish schools. He lived in Minsk and was a teacher in Jewish
schools. He was the author of: Shrakhkentenish (Linguistics), part 1
(Moscow: Central Publ. 1930), 159 pp., second edition (Minsk, 1931). Together with Y. Rubin, he adapted Y. Y. Linetski’s
Dos poylishe yingl (The Polish lad).
for school use (Moscow-Minsk: Central Publ., 1930), 99 pp. He co-edited Arbet-bukh af shprakh (Workbook for language) (Minsk: State Publ.,
1932), 98 pp. He translated Friedrich
Engels’s Vegn historishn materyalizm
