MOYSHE-DOVID
COHEN (1909-December 22, 1948)
He came from Galicia. He moved to the United States in his
youth. He was a leader in the Mizrachi
movement, primarily in the youth division.
Until his death, he worked as a teacher and secretary of the yeshiva
Tiferet Yisrael (Glory of Israel) on the Lower East Side of New York City. He contributed to such Mizrachi periodicals
as Unzer shtime (Our voice), Farn land (For the land), and Der mizrakhi-veg (The way of Mizrachi)—in
New York. Among his pen names: M. Dak,
M. Yehudi, and M. Naftali. He died in
New York.
