YANKEV BUKHMAN

YANKEV BUKHMAN (b. March 29, 1904)
            He was born in Staszów, Poland.  He studied in religious elementary school and with private tutors.  He was deported to concentration camps in 1942.  He came to France in 1946.  He published in Idishe zhurnal (Jewish journal) in Toronto, as well as in Arbeter-vort (Workers’ word), Unzer vort (Our word), and Af der vakh (On guard)—all in Paris.  In book form: In thom fun farnikhtung un mord (In the abyss of annihilation and murder) (Paris, 1981), 350 pp.
