HAKOHEN BASIN (March 5, 1895-March 31, 1981)
He studied in religious elementary
school and with a private tutor. He
worked as a bookkeeper. In 1927 he
emigrated to South Africa. Among his
books: A gliklekhe velt oder a mabl fun
fayer (A happy world or a fiery deluge) (Johannesburg: Kayor, 1975), 235
pp. It concerned anti-Semitism and
Judaism. He died in Johannesburg.
