FISHL BURSKI

            He hailed from Russian Poland.  In 1908 he emigrated to Montreal and became a contributor to Keneder odler (Canadian eagle), in which he published articles, translations, and novels.  He was the internal contributor to R. Brainin’s daily newspaper Der veg (The way), and from 1917 through the mid-1930s he was a member of the editorial board of Der idisher zhurnal (The Jewish journal) in Toronto, in which he published stories and novels.  His translation of de Maupassant’s Di geshikhte fun a libe (The story of a love) appeared in book form.  He wrote under the pseudonyms: Era, Fishele, B. F., F. B., and others.
