LIFSHITS
He lived in Kovno and in Vilna. He was a private Yiddish and Hebrew teacher
and bookseller. He published stories in:
Kol mevaser (Herald) and Hamelits (The advocate)—in Odessa; and Hamagid (The preacher) in Lik (under the
pen name Ym”l). He authored the
storybooks: A volveler bisin, a sipur hamayseh,
kloymersht pakhozhe af a roman (A cheap morsel, a story, as it were,
resembling a novel) (Vilna, 1892), 59 pp.; and Di tsvey taybelekh, oder der shtiler vehtog (The two little doves,
or the quiet pain) (Vilna, 1896), 64 pp.
