YEKHEZKL SHOYKHET (JESEKIEL SCHOIJET) (b. May 20, 1904)
He was
born Kryve Ozero, Podolia. In 1910 he
moved with his family to Argentina. He
graduated from a Spanish school and a Jewish school run by YIKO (Jewish
Cultural Organization). For thirty years
he lived in the colony of Narcis Leven. From 1929 he
was writing for Di prese (The press),
mainly on agrarian issues (under the pen name A. Feldman). He placed a major piece of work in Argentiner yivo-shriftn (Argentinian
YIVO writings) 8. In book form: Bletlekh tsu der geshikhte fun narsis leven
(Pages from the history of Narcis Leven) (Buenos Aires: YIVO division in
Argentina, 1953), 120 pp. A considerably
expanded version appeared in Spanish.
