BRONYE SINELNIKOVE

BRONYE SINELNIKOVE (1910-1967)

            A poetess, she was born in Berdichev, Ukraine. She lost her parents early on and was raised in the Berdichev Jewish children’s home. There she composed her first poems. After moving to Moscow, she worked as a proofreader for the newspaper Der emes (The truth), later becoming a librarian at the Moscow Jewish club “Komunist” (Communist). She wrote for the press, in her last years for the journal Sovetish heymland (Soviet homeland).
