ZEV-TSVI KLEYN (December 30, 1879-March 29, 1955)
She was
born in Shala (Szállás?), Hungary. He
was a rabbi in Kronstadt and from 1911 in Eisenstadt, Hungary. In 1919 he became a member of the Orthodox
Central Rabbinate “Adat Yisrael” (Council of Israel) in Berlin. In 1939 he fled to Argentina. He held the title of doctor of philosophy. He authored rabbinical religious texts. He wrote in German and Hebrew. Kleyn’s book Kultur-filosofishe shtudyen (Studies in cultural philosophy)
(Buenos Aires: Saadya, 1943), 88 pp. was translated by the author into Yiddish with
the help of A. L. Shusheym. He died in Buenos
Aires.
