MAKS KLETER (May 1, 1901-April 7, 1952)
A
professional actor, he was born in Rutinye, Galicia. He lived in Galicia, and from 1927 he was living
in the United States and Argentina. He
published a comedic drama, Mayn shtetl
(My town), and the operetta Der yidisher
kapitan (The Jewish captain). He
wrote numerous songs for Yiddish plays. He
died in New York.
