            He was a Soviet pedagogue, editor, and author of a number of textbooks, such as: Fun di kleyne kinders vegn, alefbeys far shuln un kinder-hayzer (Paths for little children, ABCs for schools and children’s homes) (Kiev: Kultur-lige, 1923), 126 pp., second modified edition (Kiev, 1924), 90 pp.; Pedagogishe khrestomatye (Pedagogic reader) (Kiev: Kultur-lige, 1926), 297 pp.; Arbets-kinder (Working children), second edition (Moscow: Emes, 1929), 266 pp.; 1, 2, 3, 4, didaktisher materyaln tsum tseyln un rekhenen farn ershtn lernyor (1, 2, 3, 4, didactic materials for counting and calculating for the first school year) (Moscow-Kharkov-Minsk, 1930), 95 pp.; Metodishe onvayzungen tsum bikhl 1, 2, 3, 4 (Methodological instructions for the volume: 1, 2, 3,4) (Moscow-Kharkov-Minsk, 1930), 19 pp.  He also edited other textbooks.
