He hailed from Sosnovits (Sosnowiec), Poland. He studied in religious primary school and yeshiva. From 1938 he was living in Palestine. He was a laborer. He started writing poems for the publication Yung-zaglembye (Young Zagłębie Dąbrowskie) in Sosnovits in 1936. He contributed to Zaglembyer tsaytung (Zagłębie newspaper) and Tsukunft in New York (September 1944, July 1945) poems of entreaty and pain concerning the Holocaust in Poland.
