DOVID ANIN (January 20, 1913-May 1, 1979)Adopted name of Dovid Azarkh, he was born in Dvinsk (Daugavpils), Latvia, son of Shmaryahu. From 1937, he was in Paris, and from 1952 in New York. He was a contributor and a member of the editorial board of the Parisian Bundist daily newspaper, Undzer shtime (Our voice), and he published in Undzer tsayt (Our times), Gerekhtikeyt (Justice), and Veker (Alarm)—all in New York. He was also a contributor to Russian publications. Among his pseudonyms: D. Serzh, D. A., A. David, D. Mirski, and Observator. He died in Israel.
