RIVKE KOGUT (b. 1912)
She was
born in Pinsk, Suvalk Province. In 1919
she moved with her family to Kovno, where she graduated from a Jewish public
school. She debuted in print with poetry
in Funken (Sparks) in Kovno. She published in children’s magazines and the
youth section of Kovno’s Yiddish newspapers.
She survived the Kovno ghetto and Stutthof Concentration Camp. After the war, she returned to Kovno.
